Located adjacent to Austin Peay State University and downtown Clarksville, Tennessee, the Red River neighborhood was a historically significant African American community within the city’s urban core.

EHI completed the development of a comprehensive neighborhood plan that encompassed various planning elements, including future land use, economic development, accessibility, and connectivity. By incorporating proven strategies and best practices, the plan aimed to create a sustainable, safe, and equitable community. With a focus on land use development, the plan provided guidance for future development and revitalization projects, enhancing the neighborhood’s sense of place and connectivity. Through collaboration with stakeholders and alignment with the Clarksville-Montgomery County Comprehensive Plan, EHI successfully shaped a vibrant neighborhood that reflected the unique character and aspirations of the Red River community.
