EHI Consultants is proud to have been entrusted by the LFUCG Division of Streets and Roads to conduct a technical site analysis and feasibility study for their new Salt Barn and associated support facilities.
Our expert team designed a new 7,000 ton salt barn to replace the existing 3,000 ton facility and developed comprehensive site improvements for the 10-acre Streets and Roads campus.
As the lead consultant, EHI commenced the project with a Phase 1 site assessment, analyzing the campus area to identify opportunities and constraints. Our assessment covered critical aspects such as location, setbacks, easements, zoning, soil conditions, and utilities, ensuring a thorough understanding of the site. We also focused on site access, vehicle circulation, parking, and integration of future salt barn expansions and LFUCG Town Branch designs.
In addition to site analysis, EHI delivered innovative design solutions for the salt barn, addressing capacity, structural systems, orientation, and layout considerations. We meticulously crafted conceptual designs and layouts that optimize functionality and accessibility. Furthermore, our team developed comprehensive site improvement plans to cater to overflow parking, surface storage, adjacent training facilities, and future expansion, ensuring a cohesive and efficient campus.
To provide our client with comprehensive information for decision-making, EHI conducted a preliminary cost analysis for each recommended site location. Our cost analysis encompassed all crucial elements, including salt barn structure, soil remediation, foundation systems, brine/chemical storage, utility extensions, site lighting, site improvements, and parking expansion.
